Leaves changing in time for Applefest '08.

Fall color beginning across the Northwoods!!

I took a screenshot (to the left) from Wisconsin's Fall Color Report, provided by TravelWisconsin.com.

Approaching peak color are the counties of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest:

Sawyer
, Ashland, Price,
Vilas, Forest, and Oconto counties.

Applefest this weekend too.

I'll be heading north to attend Applefest 2008 in Bayfield, WI (mapquest) this coming weekend.

Several links talking about Applefest:

Bayfield Chamber of Commerce
SuperiorTrails.com
Apostle Islands Navigator

Apostle Islands Navigator reports "The Bayfield Apple Festival is listed among “Top Ten Autumn Festivals in North America” by the Society of American Travel Writers."

Derek at NW Wisconsin Weather and OSNW3 in Oshkosh, WI both have posts on fall color.

And finally, here is a link to my blog post after last year's (2007) Applefest.

  1. You should not waste your time with MapQuest. Much better: maps.google.com. Give it a try.

  2. HAHA. I am thinking maybe google has some sorta blogger spy that if it notices a link or maybe just plain text with "mapquest" in it, they automatically spam blog comments. HAHA! WTF. :)

Have fun at Applefest '08. Looking forward to some photos of the event!
