That's a bit colder than the 96 year average low temperature of 13.1 degrees (for Dec. 6th). Yesterday Ashland had 18 degrees for a high (I had 16.9), the average high temp is 30.0.
That makes the low 14.9 degrees colder, and the high 13.1 degrees lower than normal. The last three days have been solidly below normal. Also, most of last week was the same way, only the snowstorm in-between brought us up to where we should be for the beginning of December.

More snow is expected today in Clipper #2, but amounts will be light - the clipper has only a little moisture and it's moving right along.

Today's snow showers.

Snow showers continue across the region. So far, amounts have been light. Freezing drizzle could actually mix in across Northern Wisconsin's counties. The above radar shot is from 15:30. Amounts will be between 1 - 3 inches total.
Coldest night of the season comming.
Forecast lows Friday night will fall into the minus 20s, even -30 is possible, across Northern Minnesota; minus teens will be common across Northern Wisconsin , -20 is possible.
Snow still on the deck.
The pictures (to the right) are from today. I haven't shoveled all of the front deck. There isn't much hurry, we don't use it in winter and it doesn't lead anywhere important. So I have about two-thirds cleared, I'll finish tomorrow. All thirteen inches (from the last 5 days) has to go over the railing.

Nathan, How do you clip out your report like that? I would love to do stuff like that on my blog.
ReplyDeleteAmazing picture showing the depth of the snow on your deck...
Mike, I'm a little heavy-handed with 'screenshots' using the PrtSc key, which puts an image of your screen directly into your clipboard. Then I simply paste into Paint and cut/paste, crop/delete, until I'm happy. Not very high-tech, but it works for me.
